In the past few weeks we have been going through the long and frustrating process of finishing up loose ends in order to get Amelia her hearing aids. Hopefully, we are close!
We got the results of Amelia's genetics test tonight. We will save you the science lecture and just say that she does carry the hearing loss gene. She inherited it from both of us.....thanks ancestors.haha. No further testing needs to be done at this time since this is the cause of her hearing loss. Most likely Colin is carrying the same gene. Kendall still has to go back for another hearing test. Peter and I will be obsessing and debating genetics for weeks to come being that we both are biology teachers!!
